MICCAI Student Board Activities

MICCAI 2017 Academia and Industry - September 11th 6 - 8 pm, 2017, room 400A, Centre des congrès

The event is divided in two parts. First, in a panel discussion setting, students can ask questions about career planning, life in academia and industry, and the future of medical image computing / computer assisted interventions.The second half is organized as a networking event. In a speed-dating fashion students can have round-table discussions with the panelists and additional invitees from different universities and companies. Beverages and appetizers will be provided.

MICCAI 2017 Sport Events

Curling: Saturday 9th September 2017 06:30 pm

Join up for some real Canadian fun in a game of curling. What better than hurling rocks across an ice lane between friends? Hurrrry!

Where: Meet up at Conference center Main entrance before proceeding to the Jacques Cartier Curling Club on foot or by bus
How: Register on Jujama by joining the Curling Group
How much: free

Soccer (a.k.a. football): Sunday 10th September 2017 06:00 pm

Following a decade-old MICCAI tradition, there will be the opportunity to compete in a soccer match. What location would be more suitable than the Plains of Abraham,  the site of many clashes for supremacy between the French and British Empires? If you are more interested in a recreational activity, join us on the Plains nonetheless to enjoy the Canadian fall and throw frisbees around.

Where: Meet up at Conference center Main entrance in your sports attire before proceeding on foot to the Plains of Abraham Central circle
How: Register on Jujama by joining the Soccer Group

MICCAI 2017-2018 Educational Challenge

The MICCAI Educational Challenge will be held for the third time, kicking off at MICCAI 2017 and concluding at MICCAI 2018. The goal of the challenge is to encourage members of the MICCAI community to create and share educational materials, covering fundamental concepts in medical image computing and computer-assisted interventions. The winner of the MICCAI Educational Challenge will receive a prize of $500, sponsored by the MICCAI society. The winner will be announced at MICCAI 2018.

New in 2017: Tutorials may be formatted as papers, presentations or blog posts.
