OPPORTUNITIES
The MICCAI Society regularly provides opportunities for participation in educational activities (tutorials, workshops, etc.), fund raising events, public relations initiatives, interaction with other international societies, service and communication projects and other academic and educational not-for-profit activities. Members of the Society are invited to join in a variety of projects to stimulate and encourage the exchange and dissemination of developments in the field through the academic programs of the Society. These programs are pursued on a local, regional, national and international level.

• PROCEEDINGS
The Proceedings of the annual MICCAI conferences are published by Springer and are available to registered attendees of the conference at the time of the conference. Copies of these published proceedings can be purchased after the conference by those interested in the topics of MICCAI and papers are available on-line. MICCAI Proceedings papers are full-length papers that have been subjected to peer review that is more stringent than many journals. This is reflected in the high citation rate of MICCAI Proceedings papers.
• ASSOCIATED JOURNALS
The MICCAI Society has entered into agreements with three high quality international journals in the field of MICCAI interests. These are Medical Image Analysis, the Journal of Computer Aided Surgery, and Academic Radiology. Members of the MICCAI Society enjoy significant discounts to these journals and electronic access to their websites.
Every year, authors of the best of the MICCAI Proceedings papers are invited by the Conference Programme Committee to submit an extended and updated paper describing their work to one of the three journals associated with MICCAI. These papers are subjected to a further full peer review process and successful papers appear in a special issue of the relevant journal.
• NEWSLETTER and SOCIETY MEMBERS’ WEBSITE
The MICCAI Society sponsors and provides a regular newsletter for all of its members, which includes topical, timely information of interest to members of the Society, and provides details of forthcoming meetings. The Newsletter, announcements and other features will be available on the Society members website as well as through email.
