Imaging Scientist

Position Summary

The Imaging Scientist is responsible for supporting research and development of imaging biomarker technology. The person in this position will work closely the Senior Imaging Scientist to support the Chief Medical Officer, the Medical Operations Vice Presidents, and the Information Technology team in all required activities.

 

 

Responsibilities:

§  Developing and reviewing imaging charters/protocols for customer projects related to image acquisition and image analysis

§  Performing pre-processing tasks for research-oriented projects, generating the necessary documentation to ensure compliance with established requirements

§  Performing statistical quality checks for study data

§  Working with cross-functional teams to improve operational productivity

§  Providing image analysis support to Technologists/Analysts and Radiologists

§  Supporting the enhancement and modification of the BioTelemetry Research biomarker measurement technology through algorithm development

§  Providing technical customer support for the imaging portion of the customer’s project, which may include teleconferences, presentations, or travel to customer sites or investigator meetings

§  Up to 25% travel required

 

 

Qualifications

Education:  

§  Master of Science degree in applied physics, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering or a field related to medical imaging or science

§  PhD, a plus

 

Experience:

§  Technical writing experience required

§  Experience performing statistical evaluations of data

§  Computer programming experience in mathematical modeling, data analysis and image processing using languages such as C/C++, Python or MATLAB

§  Experience and demonstrated capabilities working with MRI, CT and/or PET images, preferred

§  Experience working in imaging analysis (i.e., image segmentation, attenuation correction, motion compensation and registration with multiple imaging modalities), preferred

§  Experience in radiological science research, a plus

§  Publications in medical imaging journals, preferred

§  Experience in the conduct of clinical trials, a plus
