Description The Computational Medical Imaging (CMI) lab at Washington University has PhD positions for NIH-funded projects on computational nuclear-medicine imaging. These projects are in the areas of developing and evaluating task-specific algorithms, including deep-learning-based algorithms, for quantitative PET and SPECT imaging. Research will lead to training in the areas of task-based image-quality evaluation, developing deep learning methods for specific tasks, statistical signal processing, and imaging physics. Further, there will be opportunities to pursue new ideas.
The ideal candidate will have a keen desire to learn, a strong work ethic, and background in programming and signal processing. Interested students please go through a few of our Publications (jhalab.wustl.edu) and send us (1) a short write up summarizing what they find interesting and how they can contribute and (2) their resume to Dr. Abhinav K. Jha via email listed above.
