The research group Translational Image-guided Oncology (Kleesiek) is seeking a postdoctoral researcher with excellent knowledge and practical experience in the field of machine learning (ML) and medical image analysis. Our research focuses on unsupervised and self-supervised learning, in particular to recognize patterns in medical data and to quantify uncertainty in algorithms.
Access to real-world medical data and being located within a hospital enables us to deliver algorithms at the point of care - generating a meaningful difference for patients, doctors, and hospital staff. Strong funding and state-of-the-art equipment support our efforts.
Your responsibilities encompass driving cooperations within and outside the hospital,
planning and execution of scientific projects, support in raising third-party funds, and the supervision of students. The successful applicant must have a Ph.D. in the fields of Computer Science, Physics or an equivalent discipline.
We offer a dynamic and enthusiastic team that wants to make a difference in the field of real-world medical ML applications. A creative atmosphere in an attractive and modern workplace helps in fostering and pursuing ideas.
