Postdoctoral Positions in Rapid Free-Breathing Quantitative MRI (Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai)

The BioMedical Engineering and Imaging Institute (BMEII: at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking two motivated Postdoctoral Fellows to work on rapid free-breathing quantitative MRI. The candidates will be working with Yang Yang, PhD and Li Feng, PhD, two Investigators at BMEII specializing in fast spiral MRI and fast radial MRI, respectively. The overall objective of the projects involves development and translation of advanced imaging methods for fast and quantitative MRI for novel clinical applications. 
This is a unique and excellent opportunity to conduct productive and innovative research in rapid free-breathing MRI and to quickly gain hands-on skills in non-Cartesian MRI, including pulse sequence programing, advanced image reconstruction and motion management based on radial and spiral trajectories (e.g., stack-of-stars, stack-of-spirals or Koosh-ball). The candicates are expected to have a PhD degree in a related field. Prior experience in sequence programing, image reconstruction and/or quantitative imaging is a plus. The positions are immediately available until filled.
Facilities: The BMEII currently has 3 Siemens MRI scanners dedicated to research (a 3T Skyra scanner, a Biograph mMR PET/MRI scanner, and a 7T scanner), along with other clinical MRI scanners within the Department of Radiology. 

Location: The main campus of the Mount Sinai Health System is located in the upper east side of the New York City and is adjacent to the Central Park. Subsidized housing close to the Mount Sinai campus is available for Postdocs.
