The research group Biomedical Computer Vision (BMCV) currently offers
a PhD position in the field of Biomedical Image Analysis. The task is
the development of methods and software for automated analysis of
biomedical images using Deep Learning. The aim is to improve medical
diagnosis and therapy, and the work is carried out in cooperation with
biomedical partners.

The BMCV group develops methods and algorithms for automated analysis
of biological and medical images, in particular, cell microscopy
images and medical tomographic images. A wide spectrum of methods
is investigated including segmentation, tracking, registration, and
machine learning. A focus is on deep learning methods. The group
achieved excellent results in international competitions on tracking.

Candidates must have a Master in Computer Science,
Electrical Engineering, Medical Informatics, Biomedical Engineering,
Bioinformatics, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline.
We are looking for person with a background in Image Analysis
and Deep Learning as well as good mathematical and programming skills.
We also expect experience with software development systems and
